Specularite Hematite "Specularite" Specimen #D
Specular Hematite is a variety of Hematite that forms in feathery fan-like layers on other crystals and minerals. The fine Hematite layers are very fragile yet very reflective when they form on the surface of a stone. This material can be found in various countries including Canada, the USA, Brazil, Venezuela, and others.
We were able to snag 6 pieces of this odd yet beautiful material, and hope to get more, bigger pieces in the future! Each piece currently has its own listing #A-#F, which correlates to size (#A being the smallest and #F being the largest. All Specularite seems to be growing alongside/with Clear Quartz and Red Quartz (possibly Clear Quartz stained from clay).
